New Jersey labor laws provide a number of protections for employees and independent contractors, including protections related to payment of minimum wages, payment of overtime wages, methods of wage payment, and employment of minors.

Family and Medical Leave

The federal Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) grants eligible employees unpaid leave. The New Jersey Family Leave Act offers paid leave. You need a qualified attorney who understands all of your rights under these laws.
